A recording studio, rebuilt as a home for builders

911 S Main was Eagle Audio Studio, part of Fort Worth’s music scene since 1984. Today it’s a small, members-only workspace for founders and creatives in the Near Southside.

We’re Chris and Diesa Rupert. We run Nametag Films, a commercial production company, and for more than a decade we looked for a building it could call home.

In 2019 we found one: a 6,000-square-foot former recording studio at 911 S Main. The address happens to be our wedding anniversary, so it felt meant to be.

The renovation took years longer than we planned. Along the way it grew into more than an office for our own team. We added private offices, a coworking room, conference rooms, a podcast studio and an edit suite, and opened the doors to other founders who want what we wanted: a calm place to work and good people down the hall.

We keep it small on purpose, and we meet everyone before they join. That’s how SALT FW stays quiet, friendly and focused.

How we built it

Building SALT FW was a family project. Here’s how it came together, from the day we found the building to the day we opened the doors.
